Taipei trip 2009 : last day at taipei

7th day, our final race, last day, our flight is at 6.30, so we be leaving hotel at 3.30pm,

So we went to hotel nearby shop to shop around , and have some ice-cream which was known as Cold Stone. It was super crazy hot cake now in Taipei , I saw the queue at Xing meng ding was like the donut factory queue during the 1st launch at city hall . At 1st, I didn’t notice (again..hahaha) , and asked my sister wanna tried , she point at me the break down queue at the back , it was super long!!! Gosh, but still as we got up early today , as an early bird, have finally give a tried of it’s magic taste that made people queue. When we were buying the queue is packing up!!

The ice-cream, I prefer Thailand’s one, it is much richer, as for this one, it taste towards more milky.

Since is a short trip , we decided to take taxi back to xin meng ding to get the design key holder which we eventually have done 2 of them previously, we lost it, and so we went back to make another two while to get the last grab of anything we could missed. While we have planned from the 1st day , to buy our mum's fav donut !!! The mister Donut !! ( picture below ) And my sister bring me to the maid’s café, but we didn’t tried because not really much time. Hope can try next time.





Super long queue lor.We tot no-one will buy so last min then go buy , nearly tot that we be late for our flight. O_OIII

So is time to go airport , at 1st before check in , we asked a sale person at the airport , if there is any foodcourt in the waiting area after check in , as we saw only burger king and one Chinese lai-mee , the sale person say there are a lot of food inside , so my sister and I tot of go in the waiting area and eat , to our shock , there is nothing near to foodcourt !!! no food , only snack bar !!! and snack bar with no table and chair !! so I walked from one edge of it to another , and tell my sister , this is the 1st time ever , I saw no café in the air-port waiting area !! , At last , we found one café at the end of the airport , with very basic sandwich and drink …





One thing , my sister and I found out , the coke is in different size with same price!! They are manufactured in different dates.That reminds me of the news in Hongkong , the inflation theory...they tell you they didnt increase the price , but they " decease" the volume ...hee hee

Next time , i think i better eat before go airport. ~_~ 1st time ever, i got nothing to eat at airport.

This taipei trip , I didn’t really explore as much , as I too old now , must admit that now T_T , I used to able to walk whole day , shop whole day , but now , I need to rest and walked slowly .. wu wu wu .. but still I hope to go taipei again..

Oh remember if u have any receipts , unless is by visa card payment , try to donate to the charity box ( most of them can be found in their 7-11 store or Moss Burger store , the receipt is for lucky draw , if u donate to them , they will passed to those poor family , and tried their luck. Afterall after trip, u wont need it, who know, the receipt u passed to the needed family will change their living condition and life?

Taipei trip 2009 : 6th day at taipei

6th day soon will be our last race, we decided to go back to wu fen pu (my sister want to buy some dress which she tried in hotel when we back and find it nice) , but we mistaken one thing , is that the store open only after 1 pm OoOIII So we decided to spend our time at around xing meng ding ( outside the main xing meng ding ) to do a more detail type of shopping while having my curry rice again..heehee. , then after that we went back to wu fen pu again , lor...

We made a mistake , we actually didn’t finish the place as we tot in the 1st time , there is a back alley and different parts of the wu fen pu and not as we tot of that small part which we tot we finish exploring the place, wah , we spend almost all our time again walked up and down to look for some shop we hope to shop again… but still as the place is too big we couldn’t find some of the shop which I purchase and hope to get another one which I didn’t. sian…. Sigh..

Taipei trip 2009 : 5th day at taipei

5th day , finally I get to go to the Wu fen pu ( 五分埔 ) , I have been knowing the place for long yet never get the chance to go , as the TV introduce , a lot of fashion can be found here. I managed to get a lot of dress and some designer clothes in the range of $25 - $50 sing dollar each. The price is not as cheap as mention in some recommendation, but if you buy a lot, they do give offer, just that unless you a very good price-cutter..hahaha..



I happened to meet a very unhappy case, which I saw a neck scarf which really pretty , it was placed on a fake model , while I wanted to ask the price , a local girl was asking too , the sale-person quoted her $350 NT , but when I asked the sale – person she asked if I buying other thing , I answer no , she quoted me $500 NT and she said is the last piece , of cause my 1st impression was since I like it and I not buying any of her thing , I just spend the $500 NT , but the local girl whom was quoted $350 NT , quickly snatched by pulling the scarf from the model opposite way of me pulling it. I was a bit shocking at 1st , she shown me the black face and put the scarf at her arm and walked away. Lor !! So mad, later on , I found the same piece at $600 NT , I said okie , take it , my sister asked my if I really want the scarf or because I unhappy people snatch something away from me.

I think hard , I think I more likely to be unhappy tat people snatch thing from me , and I unhappy that I didn’t react fast to give that girl some power of my poison mouth , that why I got the madness of got money , u afraid can’t get meh type of feeling , not to show I am rich , but if people understand I think they will sort of understand bah.

Okie , I so mad. Cool down Cool down… now think of it, I still mad.

Eventually I found that Taipei girl do have different characters like Singapore girl , it happen at same place at Wu Fen pu , I was looking at the clothes , as the road was pretty tight , and I got my backpack , a couple saw me , then the guy start to make some stupid funny noise to make me aware I blocked their way, well of cause I noticed with that stupid noise , so I just moved aside ( one part is I finish looking ) , then his girlfriend say : Wah , you are so powerful !! in a pitching sound of you know cute cute sound.

I looked directly at them with super big round eye. Surely I can’t do that, and frankly that guy I looked at him , nothing but look so thin and just another Ah beng type only. Sigh, girls…… no wonder Singapore girls cannot fight against foreign “talent” girl.

Taipei trip 2009 : 4th day at taipei

4th day , We spend again , another half day at a museum which is known as museum of world religions , eventually this museum is even longer , as my sister like to study about religion and all , there is a kid’s playground too , which both ticket can be purchased as a package. Frankly the museum is mostly older age of tour group and hardly sees any age around us. I sort of more interested in Egypt and Buddhist religion so I spend longer time reading it. I happen to stop by a tour group while the tour guide explained the meaning of some Buddhist stone craving, I heard about one thing of if a person born in a way, it mean they are to be as prince or bah bah… I couldn’t heard it well and really interested but too bad, when I wait for next and next group, neither of them mentioned about it.

We were in the museum of almost 4.30 pm which the museum and kid playground closed at 5pm , so we left 30 min to the kid playground , well , I regretted , I looked at the playground and asked my sister : Dude you sure you wanna spend 30 min here with all the children thing and soft toy. Gosh!! Maybe I just too old for kid’s thing..hahaha.

So we back to xin meng ding again for dinner, eating curry pork when my mum just call and told us not to eat pork ..hahahaha…but hor the cheese curry pork is really nice. I recommend people to go eat and try their cheese curry pork, is really nice.

I not a really Japanese curry rice fan, but this I super recommend it and have it for two time in one role during the trip!! . Is not hard to find, the big logo will be seem easily, gosh, now I got hard time to get the same taste of it in Singapore to have it again.

Taipei trip 2009 : 3rd day at taipei

3rd Day, we had our breakfast at an England style café ^^ Very nice food and décor ^^ .



My sister... I told her I so “ciel” (one of my fav character in kuroshitsuji) those who like the animation will know lah.



Anyway today we spend almost half of the day at the miniatures museum of Taiwan. ^^ Being wanted to go so much, it was one of my purposes to Taipei too. My friend said the place was boring, but to me, is more like wonder and full of surprise. Eventually I really hope to spend the whole day instead to slowly see it one by one and every part of it, it is so detail done even the smallest art work. I really love it. If you happen to go, when you saw the phantom of the opera (as shown above), try to stand side-way, you will see the mask-guy in the mirror, time by time, he appear and disappear.



And if you are amazing race fan, go to the last “pit stop “you will see a small house, not as obvious as the bigger (and real big) one beside it, you can know that it was the previous game which they need to find the small yellow envelope just behind the type writer (As shown above), that time the groups really having a hard time finding it. Hee hee…

So as we spend almost half of the day already, we just went back to SOGO again to finish our shopping which we never done so yesterday. But one thing can be recommended is , when you go to one of the SOGO , if you happen to see a Watson of around 4 storey high , it opened until mid-night , it is pretty recommended to go if you like make-up cause they got a lot of Japanese brand make-up products which some can be expensive in Singapore.

Taipei trip 2009 : 2nd day at taipei

Next day, the 2nd day, we had our breakfast at Dante café and 1st thing to do, head straight to Xing meng ding….Animate!!! Hee hee… I told my sister , animate products always limited stock , so it will be safer to head straight to animate 1st and see anything we want and grab it in hand 1st ..^^

At the 1st day, at animate, I got a record of sending $8400 NT plus (SGD$400 plus) in one shot, gosh!! O_O

My sister kept nagging at me, when I asked her how much is $8400 NT in sing dollar, she looked at me and said $400 plus!! And when my mum called and asked us if we met the dust tornado which reported in the news, my sister said she did saw one in the Animate... o_0III

But hor , if you understand the feeling of just like a cage animal which being cage for long, and finally get out and see a lot of small food around mah…hee hee of cause will be keep buying here and there are so many little things / toys which is so cute to let go.

So with all the stress release (after all the craziness in Animate), my sister and I had a steamboat around the area, it is ma-lai steamboat, wah, really ma –lai lor, so spicy. Athough the food is not that suit towards my taste, but their dessert is great, meji and Hagen daze ice-cream, free flow of coke and different drinks. But if anyone wants to go, a warning towards it, they only limited 2 hour of eating time, so if you like to spend your whole day there eating ice-cream that is impossible. But still it is a worth to try , at least I feel is much better and cleaner in presenting of their foods than some of the Singapore buffet.

So after xing meng ding, I was really tired T_T, so my sister and I took a taxi back to hotel to put back all our things , when the hotel management saw the package we talk , I looked at her and back to our package , I asked her do you want to put us to top floor ( got elevator ) instead as basement is staircase only. So she responded that next day will have a room, and that when the 1st time again , change room in the mid-stay…hahaha

So after resting, is almost evening, our next stop is the SOGO, Singapore have SOGO too but they are more towards the Japan style. A lot of brand which Singapore doesn’t have, such as the Justin Davis etc. Anyway as we came in pretty late, so eventually we just do slight shopping and just look if we want to buy anything.. My sister wanted to buy Justin Davis , but the jewels of Justin Davis were really expensive lor, one silver ring with crystal is about $1000 plus Singapore dollar O_o II Anyway my sister do have her rewards too lah , she brought a ring at SOGO.

As for myself, I get myself a ring too at the next day which was the 3rd day (it was the last piece, they have a lot of limited stock)

Taipei trip 2009 : 1st day at taipei

Finally, I have finished upload all my taipei trip with my little sister ,or at least I think is all lah, eventually we didn’t really plan our trip well, as it is a pretty rush and sudden trip. Well also too lazy to plan, afterall is shopping, who will know how long going to take when girls are shopping…hee hee..

I got 7 days at Taipei, but 1st day is “ wasted “ in the aeroplane and the trip to city itself and do all the hotel check in.. , so by the time everything is settle is already around 7 plus. The 1st day I was checked in , for the 1st time too , was a basement room (the hotel named dai xin hotel got basement room) a Japanese style room ( picture attached ) , my 1st impression to the hotel is a bit outskirt area, as it was along a dark walk way, but the overall internal room itself is still pretty good and slightly newer as compare to rainbow hotel which I usually booked although the location is not as good. But as for bathroom, rainbow hotel is preferred bah as for my case.



our first room , later we change another room.hahaha.. i like our second room , but too bad no window , and the previous owner smoke inside !! i brought a lavander refresher spray at Diaso and spray everyday..hahaha.. my sister love the idea , cheaper than using our perfum.

Anyway as 1st day was wasted for all the ding dong, we only able to walk around the hotel area, if you say is outskirt area, well if you don’t mind to walk about 5 min walking dist, eventually they got 2 big shopping centre and a few road side shops such as Daiso and lots of café, and if you willing to walk down even further a bit, branded shops such as coach etc are just near by, so is really not that bad. We had dinner and some dessert for our 1st day and walked around, then went back to hotel and sleep to start fresh next day.

Car Accident just less than 1 week.....

Car Accident in Bangkok on 31 Dec 2008(picture above)

Eventually we had a car accident in Bangkok during our way to the hotel on the 31 Dec 2008. Whereby a young guy hit the car we took which supposed to bring us to hotel in the middle of the road of traffic jam. We have to end up took a taxi and head towards our hotel. (More info will be coming out on my trip to Bangkok)

Now the same thing happens only less than 1 week!! In Singapore, same story happen with a young guy who hit towards us during traffic jam. Almost same story where we happened in Bangkok!!!

Although we are not the one to be claimed but still I so unhappy and uneasy now, afterall, the accident just happen the same way, and it less than 1 week

Vigo Star Criuse Trip - Penang and Phuket Day 4 ( Last day )

Our last day, Wednesday (29.10.2008), my mum have a tournament of Black jack which she enter it for fun at a fee of SGD$30.00 per person during the 1st day of our ride.
The game is simple , the tournament groups depend on the number of people who enrolled the game , then the game started with around 7 people per table ( total of 7 table ),21 games with a total of $5000 HK chips to play ( fake cannot be exchange for cash )per round.
It was like an eliminated game to see who will be the last survivor to hold the most is chips.
1st round – to be 1st three round-up of the table
2nd round – to be 1st two round-up of the table
3rd round - to be top three.

So my mum and I worked together, she played the games while I stand behind to help her …. The 1st round was a super luck as we were able to touch to the 1st three with slight win only.
Then the 2nd round was really tough battle too, we been trying to use strategies instead cause I know gamblers are very easily out of control in terms of putting money to the gambling tables. So we tried to put less money to cut our loss and let the banker take their money (some last min show-hand win double while other loss every chips). Well of cause my mum was also pretty lucky that day too.

So in the end…. When only three survivor including my mum to fight the top three ranking , they started to use almost the same strategies like we do , to put less chips to slow the game down to be the 1st rank winner. as who wins ?

Vigo Star Criuse Trip - Penang and Phuket Day 3

Tuesday (28.10.2008) this time the ship docked at Phuket and let us went down directly from the boat, we had a 1 hour bus trip to our Phuket Island trip. When we reach the Sarasin Bridge, we took another 2 hour on boat ride to have scenery view the Famous Phang Nga Bay.
We got the chance to have the small floating rubber boat ride , two person per boat , my sister and I shared one , where my sister told me , we should go different ride , our boat was much slower than others ( I guess u all know why ..hahahahaha)

We take turns to use the wooden panel and row around , really fun and relex^^

Anyway I also got the chance to row the boat by myself with dad. I ended up turning it in circle caused I don’t know how to control it. The most fun part is that after I had return the rubber boat , i jump to the water and get to swim there, the water is really salty but fun and feel relex and .

My trip was with a group of china people. They are okie and friendly but only when one aunty happen to catch a crab (I not sure what is it’s real name but I know is a protected species) I told her to let go cause it is an extinct species, she totally hacked care and say she want to bring back and cook, this really made me mad, although my dad told me not to create trouble, but I said if everyone don’t care, the world will have more extinct species and they should be protected just like our pet. Although the tour guide told her this cannot be bring back to Singapore, the poor little crab was no longer to be seem , I feel they have hide it cause I tried to put it back but they keep it out of my sight which I couldn’t find it. I really hoped they do have the heart to put it back to natural and not inside their tummy.

Vigo Star Criuse Trip - Penang and Phuket Day 2

Finally we reach Penang on the Monday noon time (27.10.2008), the cruise didn’t departure at the dock, it let us have a small boat (should be the safely boat).

Inside the small boat , so hot inside It was a super hot weather that day.

We have two shopping mall to go in the package, which are the Queensbay Mall and the Prangin Mall.


Frankly, I feel that shopping centre (Queensbay Mall) was much more worth to go than the Prangin Mall, unless you prefer shopping areas like the Malaysia Holiday Plaza or Thailand Siam square (much smaller version)

Queensbay Mall is much more new and has better fashion designer shops compared to Prangin Mall, and if you prefer to have better eating place or more choice, then this will be the one as Prangin Mall, doesn’t have much food to eat only a few coffeshop or café.

However I still got bad experience in the Queensbay Mall as I brought a few set of DVD, which they charged me 6 pc of DVD price per set of sing dollar of $30 plus for each set (the box didn’t indicate the number of disc), and told me that it is original (sticker was put on it which they claimed that it is license).
Lucky I was not checked at the arrival hall when I went back Singapore, when I opened the cases (supernatural season 1 to 2); there was only 2 DVD, and the quality suck (is totally those download version and some parts even spoil)!!
Lucky I didn’t purchase the other few sets such as the CSI, which I planned too.

I planned to use my credit card to purchase the rest cause I didn’t bring enough money, but the card didn’t go though..
(I hope nothing happen cause they even take my IC number claiming that if credit card payment must take down IC number which I forgot to take back)

Else I’ll be cheated more money (approx around $400 plus if I brought the CSI )which I already spend SGD$130 plus on lousy quality, I think I buy pirated even better than it.

So I guess this is a lesson, what you spend is what you get bah… (

Shit, I got to save money to buy the good version when season 4 end)

So if you all going there, take note the top levels DVD shop (it sells a lot of drama DVD and some DVD players and audio parts) checks before you buy or better don’t buy, not worth it.

Anyway as we only have 1 and half hour for the Queensbay which is totally not enough for my lunch (my parents and I got separate way, and they had a great lunch of steamboat!! So envy, should have go with them and I won’t be cheated)
Penang Laksa

I had my lunch at the Prangin Mall which I spend less than half hour to walked cause the things there are almost the same, I had the chance to eat their famous Penang laksa which located at upper level corner coffeshop (picture on top)

Vigo Star Criuse Trip - Penang and Phuket Day 1

Another short-trip by Virgo star cruise, unlike the previous trip, the departure time was on the Sunday (26.10.2008) afternoon 2pm at the harbor front.

Well, as we booked the room at last minute, we were unable to get a bigger room for our family of four.. We have a super bad time at night, where we have to share the small room and listen to each other snoring sound (and poor little sister keep nagging she can’t sleep)..hahahahaha…
The worst was the movement in the cabin as the space was limited so we having hard time to cross over the beds to get to the bathroom in the middle of night when urgent nature-calls.
Well, we didn’t do much in the cruise, only like our two little pets, eat and sleep then eat again. While we making choices of which package should we go for during off-shore at Penang and Phuket
So my mum and I got the conclusion by ourselves (my dad and sister just keep repeating the word: Anything), one shopping trip at SGD$25.00 per person (Penang) and natural excursion trip at SGD$85.00 per person (Phuket)

Bangkok Trip 11 July to 14 July..... I love Shopping !!

Here are my Shopping trophies! Although I only have around 2 day to shop (10am – 9.30pm everyday), my trip is not going to be a waste! Of cause the 1st thing to do in Bangkok is shopping & eating then shopping & eating again!! ^^

They got my fav brand, Playboy and I buy so many playboy innerwear / jewelries and Biore Sakura Shampoo x 21++ packs bah bah which don’t sell it in Singapore.

Cool!! So fun ^^ I going to miss the food and my shopping time until the next trip T_T

Bangkok Trip 11 July to 14 July.....

This time the trip to Bangkok is really super rush, only 11 July to 14 July 2008, is like only 2 day of shopping. T_T The time I reach Bangkok city is already like 7.45pm (Thailand time) so Sian…

But the main purpose is still the 白龙王庙大殿 ( the white dragon temple ). It is one of the famous temples in Bangkok; this was my 1st time trip to there too. Wearing all white is prefer (most people do that).

The 1st day, we have to stay in the hotel and wait for the van at the hotel lobby at 2:00am , super tired cause I just can’t sleep in the hotel during the period of waiting.

Then we have to take a journey of at least 2 hour to reach and queue there overnight, like the hello kitty queue at Mac but we can sleep in the van which I didn’t ( too hot to sleep ). I overhead that they limited 100 person for meeting session, but my queue number is No 86…and still there are more people behind me, which I believed to be more than that. I guess is luck bah.

The temple is not really big but the people there are friendly. They provide breakfast such as hot Soya bean / coffee and some bread too.

Anyway I got the chance to meet the famous 白龙王 personally. He is a nice gentle person. He can speak a bit of Chinese but mostly he got a Chinese translator to translate for him.

You can ask him some questions like your love, job etc. If you say is it very accurate? I think is more towards personal, like I say is what your thinking makes it to be.

You can also take your Sing dollar to let him sign for you as lucky charm ^^ that idea was given by a group of aunties. (I bet they are a group of Genting frequency consumer)heeeheee…. ^^

If want to want some prayer , you will be required to take 17 joss sticks ( provided), 5 joss sticks starting from the middle pot to the left and right , then outside left and right at 1 joss sticks each.

You can also make some donation to the temple as well, I heard that there is limited of min 200 Batt ($8.30) but of cause is still the free will of whether you want to make the donation.
